Along The Aquaduct

This morning around I would say about 9ish I went out to the local park in search of a Geo-cache that I had found searching around the site last night. I didn’t have a lot of time before I had to leave for work so I planned on just the one. Anyways I drove up to the back entrance to the park shot a short video of (That I sadly deleted at work) I flipped on my geo-caching app and headed into the woods… It took me only about 10 minutes or so to get out to the location. As you might notice in the photo’s I posted just before this blog, the cache was located by a small water way slightly off the main trail through the park. I looked around for a while before I double checked the hints on the site… Finally I jumped over the water way to check the other side. And sure enough there it was stuffed ever so slightly in the store work. Opening it I found the Geo-caching log book… I signed it quickly because it was freezing outside! I also found a few small toys, and a container of play-dooh.  I closed the container and placed it back were I found it and than quickly returned to my car… I logged online that I found it.

Later on while I was at work on my break I began planning tomorrows adventure. Tomorrow should be a lot better than today I don’t have to rush to work until later in the afternoon… I plan on having Autumn join me on this one to see how she likes it… I will bring her back to this location first to just kind of show her whats up with finding these caches and to see if this would be something she would be interested in doing.

Well thats about all I have for the night. Its dinner time! Until tomorrow everyone!

Here are some photo’s I took this morning from my latest Geo-caching adventure… I plan on blogging about it right after this. I just wanted to get the pictures up and out of the way now :) tomorrow I might shoot a video… Who knows… I plan on taking Autumn and maybe Peter with me…

Lowe and Behold I Think I Can See Texas [Fail!]

Well tonight I started a fun new game with some friends called Geo-caching! Now for those of you out there that are like, WTF?!? Geo-caching is like a world wide treasure hunt that people do all over the world. Anyone can do it, all you need is a hand held GPS, or in my case a smart phone with a locations feature and the Geo-caching app on either iOS or Android.

Anyways back to my point or story… whatever >.> So we went out it was about between 8 and 9 I am not really sure all I know is that it was dark and cold outside haha :D we looked up a few simpleish Geo-cache’s they were rated as daylight finds. So we did them anyways! We first went up to the local Super Walmart for a cache called over the Wally Wall and outside the parking lot. We drove down a very narrow dirt side road and started searching the wall around the supposed coordinates. We looked for about 10 or 15 mins before heading down into the Walmart to buy a better flashlight and a compass. After the small trip into the store we went back up the hill to the wall we had originally searched. And still found nothing.

So after sitting in the car for a bit we decided to try one more before giving up for the night. This brings up the title of tonights blog, Lowe and Behold I Think I Can See Texas… We swung over to the Texas Road House and looked around a small clearing before realizing we needed to head down a man made hill of large stones. So walking around it we searched the very beginning of the woods at the bottom of the hill, it was getting colder and still just as dark as up at the Walmart so we didn’t want to enter the woods. Sadly after looking and looking we still came up with nothing tonight, so I am thinking about trying it tomorrow after I get out of work. Lets hope I can find it before the sun goes down… If not maybe I will find an easier one before I tackle these ones again… Who knows… There will be more blos about my Geo-caching adventure… And there will be photo’s :D stay tuned folks!

We all need to read this! Right now!
